The fifth edition of The Octane User Group Meet was held in Mumbai at The Orchid Hotel in Vile Parle (E). An exclusive, invite only event, the meet featured two great informative sessions by our speakers, interactive Q&A discussions and an open networking session for all our delegates.

TOPICS:
The topics for the two knowledge sessions of this TOUG Meet were: ‘Customer Engagement in a multi-channel world: A look at Digital Marketing’ for the first session and ‘Intelligent Email Marketing: Focused actions for better results’ for the second.


First Session:

allan-fernandes-13-mar-2013 We were very excited to have the first session of this meet in Mumbai conducted by Mr. Allan Fernandes from GiveIndia. Allan is a hands-on marketer who has been engaging with current and potential donors of the NGO through digital marketing. He has a special focus on social media and email marketing and his expertise lies in building better communication and content to derive the most out of customer engagement. He has also been involved with the SEO/SEM side of marketing as well as the overall designing of Give India’s website.

In his session, he covered the topic, ‘Customer Engagement in a multi-channel world: A look at Digital Marketing’.

“Engagement is often confused by marketers as broadcasting messages one way and hoping for a response. On the contrary it’s a more subtle type of marketing that leverages technology, analytics and customer feedback to create an environment where you don’t have to push your customers for a response.”

Second Session:

jitendra-arora-15-may-2013 It was also our pleasure to have Mr. Jitendra Arora, Co-Founder of Clickzoot.com, as one of the guest speakers for this edition of The Octane User Group meet in Mumbai. Jitendra has over 12 years of experience in the internet and online domain. He has spent several years advising and running internet based companies globally before moving to India and launching his venture here. Jitendra has a degree in Computer Science and a Bachelors in Business Administration (BBA) from the University of Calgary, Canada.

For his session, he shared real world practical tips, tricks and best practices around e-marketing under the topic: ‘Intelligent Email Marketing: Focused actions for better results’.

“There is so much potential in India in terms of knowledge, resources and opportunities but sometimes I feel we don’t make the most of it. This session is just a small effort to share some practical best practices for marketers so that we can all together discuss and apply ourselves towards better customer engagement.”
